It’s been quiet around here lately, which is just fine with me. If you have anything to say, see the bottom of the page to get an account, or email us at parkshore3@clutter.com.
Raccoon on the loose!
A neighbor called me yesterday to say she saw a three-legged raccoon (odd) running between yards in the middle of the day (odder). It appeared to her to be sick or rabid. Animal control said they would NOT come set a trap for it.
Last night we caught him in our garbage can out by the street, but he got out. Fortunately he didn’t make a mess of the garbage.
So keep an eye out for this animal, and watch your kids and pets.

Fortunately everything is starting off quietly. If there’s anything you’d like to see on this site please login and leave a comment.
Condo schedule
Attached is a schedule from the developers for their design and approval process.
Parkshore III covenants
Eileen Rosen got us a copy of a copy of the covenants registered with the County of Charleston in 1976. A PDF scan is posted here; I’ll work on retyping it to make it clearer.
Tool trailer thefts
A tool trailer was stolen from a resident’s driveway in the middle of the day recently. Today we learned that 2 more tool trailers have been stolen, and that Parkshore and Sandhurst areas are being targeted. Apparently the thieves are watching us, and acting when we’re not watching them.
There are special locks that can be purchased to secure cars, boats, and trailers. We have them for our little trailer — a simple padlock for the trailer hitch, and a bar with a keyed lock for the hitch receptacle on the car. Both are available at Wal-Mart and other stores.
If everybody in Parkshore used these locks perhaps we could get the thieves to go elsewhere.

Another condo meeting with the architects
The attached message was received from the architect yesterday. The meeting will be tomorrow at 4pm at the same place as last time. I suspect they will be announcing which design they have selected.
Landscaping fund
The attached notice went to all homeowners requesting assistance with the upkeep of the common areas, particularly the islands as you enter Parkshore III.
Condo meeting response
Sherry Glaab got the attached response from the developers about the zoning variance being requested.
