Not sure where this guy was rushing off to, but we made sure he made it down the street safely to a lawn.

In case you didn’t see the flyer from CPW, they’ll be turning off the water to our neighborhood on Tuesday March 17, 2015, sometime between 8am and 5pm. I doubt it will be out all day, but shower early and stock up on drinks just in case.

The work they’ll do is “valve change out and hydrant replacement,” so if you have a hydrant in your yard you might get some additional disruption.

I upgraded the server software and unfortunately the style template I used is no longer supported. Bear with me as I work to tweak the settings. All the content should still be here, let me know if you see any problems.

We live in a quiet neighborhood that most people don’t know exists. But that doesn’t mean that trouble can’t find us.

The Charleston Police Department reminds all of us to keep our eyes open. If you see someone or something that doesn’t belong, or is suspicious, give the CPD a call. While it may seem like nothing at the moment, you may help establish a pattern that the police can respond to.

“If you see people walking or driving slowly through your neighborhood at night, it should occur to you that it IS SUSPICIOUS and commit yourself to calling police. 743-7200 or 911.”

And always lock your cars, trailers, and anything else parked outside. Never leave anything valuable in them, especially in plain sight. There’s no point in making things easy for the bad guys.

NORTHBRIDGE PARK DEDICATION – SAM RITTENBERG BLVD.

Please join Mayor Riley, Charleston City Council and our neighbors for the Dedication of Northbridge Park. The ceremony is scheduled for Tuesday May 27, 2014 at 11:00 AM.

Due to limited parking space at the park, parking will be available at the Scottish Rite Center, 1051 Sam Rittenberg Boulevard. A shuttle will be provided to and from the park beginning at 10:00 AM.

This year’s first members-only benefit was held this afternoon. We had a great little block party on the Paddington Circle cul-de-sac.

In January we sent out letters to all PS3 residents inviting them to join the neighborhood association. If you haven’t joined yet, please consider the benefits and join.

And thanks to Carol and Okey for hosting a drop-in social at their house yesterday. It was good to see everybody. We’ll probably have another block party in the spring as well.
