I’m excited to share that the City of Charleston’s Office of Resilience & Sustainability will be hosting a series of open houses throughout May to help residents learn about water management and flooding issues specific to their neighborhoods. As your District 9 representative, I highly encourage you to attend the West Ashley session on May 6th at Porter Gaud from 4:30-7:30 pm.
These interactive events will allow you to connect with experts, view maps of your basin area, learn about current stormwater projects, and discover resources to address flooding concerns. Sessions will also be held on James Island (May 7th), the Peninsula (May 19th), Daniel Island (May 28th), and Johns Island (May 29th). This is a perfect opportunity to have your voice heard and get answers about the flooding issues that affect our West Ashley neighborhoods.
