We’re going to be TV Stars!

HBO’s filming their “Righteous Gemstones” TV show in the neighborhood on Wednesday 3 April 2019. There might be slight delays getting down Windsor Dr that day.

The production company dropped fliers at everybody’s front door with details.

What comes of the Pig?

Got this in email from the City:

The West Ashley Revitalization Commission and the City of Charleston are hosting a public event to garner input regarding community values and redevelopment ideas for the former Piggly Wiggly site at the intersection of Sam Rittenberg Boulevard and Old Towne Road, an opportunity focus area identified in Plan West Ashley.

The Northbridge Piggly Wiggly Community Input Session & Workshop will be held at The Schoolhouse (720 Magnolia Road) on Tuesday, July 10, 8:00am – 8:00 pm and Wednesday, July 11, 8:00 am-5:00 pm followed by the West Ashley Revitalization Commission meeting at 5:30pm.

Members of the public may drop by at any time to share their ideas. Community members are also asked to provide input by taking a short online survey (LINK TO SURVEY).

Bye Irma

A little more water than Matthew, and it happened during the day so we could watch. Water covered some streets near the marsh, but I didn’t see evidence of any houses being impacted. Lots of yard cleanup, but nothing serious.

This is literally in our neighborhood.

It’s dues time again

Please consider contributing to the maintenance of the neighborhood common areas. See the flyer that was delivered to your house for more information.

Scheduled water outage on Tuesday

In case you didn’t see the flyer from CPW, they’ll be turning off the water to our neighborhood on Tuesday March 17, 2015, sometime between 8am and 5pm. I doubt it will be out all day, but shower early and stock up on drinks just in case.

The work they’ll do is “valve change out and hydrant replacement,” so if you have a hydrant in your yard you might get some additional disruption.
